As a MOMS Club®, we provide support to our membership.
In addition, we find it is important to support our community.
Most of these projects require very little of our time, yet can have a significant impact on the lives of others.
MOMS Club® International sets a goal of 1 service project per year per chapter. We are proud to state that our club participates more frequently!
In prior years, we completed the following projects:
- We adopted a family for the holidays through the Salvation Army.
- We compiled snack bags for the women at the Rainbow Place in Gaithersburg, MD, which is an emergency shelter for homeless women .
- We made holiday cards for Army soldiers in Iraq, which were sent by Soldiers Angels.
- We had a “crochet & knitting learning day” to benefit Project Linus, a non-profit organization that provides comfort to children in need through the gifts of hand-made blankets and quilts.; All of our items, handmade & donated, were given to a local Project Linus chapter.
- We compiled goody bags for the children who are patients at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, MD. The bags contained well wishes, crafting supplies and other fun things for the kids to enjoy
